Welcome to my Spice World! It was back in late 1996 when I first heard the Spice Girls' first hit "Wannabe" on the radio. Since that day, I've been one of the very few Spice Girls fans. I really like to compare them to the early "spice girls" like Cyndi Lauper and Madonna of days past. My favorite spice girls include Scary Spice (Melanie Brown) because of her originality with her and attitude, and Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm) because of her wonderful voice (which made me cry in the song "Mama").

The Spice Girls have created two albums thus far: "Spice" and "Spice World" soundtrack. The latter didn't hit as well in the U.S. due to cultural conflicts that some Americans have with the British-originated Spice Girls (before people start World War III on this statement, I must inform you that I'm an American myself). My favorite songs include "Spice Up Your Life", "Mama", "Naked", and "Viva Forever".

As many of you know, the Spice Girls fever no longer exists except in the hearts of those who loved the Spice Girls. Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell) has left the group due to a disagreement with Scary Spice. This decision has deeply hurt me. Especially after seeing Spice World (the Spice Girls' movie). Ironically, they were portraying a breakup during the song "Viva Forever". Who would've thought that the breakup would come true in reality? Ginger Spice has now gone on to represent the United Kingdom and the United States in a more diplomatic job (I forgot her job title). Scary Spice is currently doing insert rap songs along with Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott and several others. Sporty Spice and Posh Spice (Victoria Adams) are in the United Kingdom carrying on with their own singing careers and married lives. Unfortunately, I have no idea what Baby Spice (Emma Lee Burton) is doing at the moment...maybe just being cute Baby Spice. Even though no more Spice Girls' albums or movies are being sold, I still remain as one of the very few males to say "Girl Power!!!!"
